BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – AFTER some excellent performances at the TDC-sponsored Senior Calypso Kaiso Semi-Finals on Saturday (Jul. 24), seven calypsonians had made it through to the Finals, which will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2010.
The seven calypsonians, who will be attempting to wrestle the crown from the reigning king, Isoursop, are Astro, Baker, Dis ‘N’ Dat, Hollywood, Nutsie, Queen Kibby and Pupa Wheeler.
The show begins at 9:00 p.m. and will be held at the Cultural Complex, where each calypsonian will perform two songs.
In other Culturama news, R-Jan ‘Princess K’ Claxton now holds the Junior Calypso title as she took the crown on Thursday night (Jul. 22), beating out eight other participants following the launch and official opening ceremony of Culturama 2010.
The Culturama events continue tonight with the Miss Caribbean Culture Queen Pageant, where nine beauties will compete for the title.
