Police Press Release
    On Tuesday, June 6, 2006 officers of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force and Defense Force carried out a search operation in the Basseterre area. As a result of the operation three (3) male adults of the Taylors Village were arrested and charged with drug and firearm related offences. 

    During the search of the offenders premises, officers found (12) twelve .357 magnum rounds of ammunition, a quantity of cannabis and two (2) pieces of crack cocaine.
    Everad Hewlett, Livingston Moore and Terrence Ritchen all of Taylors were all charged with "Unlawful Possession of Ammunition", "Possession of the Controlled Drug Crack Cocaine" "Possession with Intent to Supply the Controlled Drug Cannabis" and "Possession of the Controlled Drug Cannabis". The men are expected to be remanded to Her Majesty's Prison pending the trial of their cases.
     
     
    The following persons were arrested and charged between 2nd and 5th May 2006;
     
    Ike Tross of Lime Kiln Housing Project was charged with "Larceny' of a cellular phone, committed on 2nd June 2006. He was later bailed in the sum of $2000.00 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 12th June 2006.
    Dujohn Willette of Salt Pond Alley, Basseterre and Gregory Zakers of College Housing Project were charged with the offence of "Larceny" committed on 27th May 2006. Dujohn Willette was later bailed in the sum of $5,000.00 to appear at the Sandy Point Magistrate Court on 4th July 2006.
     
    Kevin Tyson alias Jeff Anthony of Upper College Street, Basseterre was charged with the offence of "Possession of Controlled Drugs" cannabis, committed on 1st June 2006.
     
    Anthony Richardson-Christopher of Saddlers Village for the offence of "refusing to give his name" when lawfully required to do so, committed on 3rd June 2006. He was later bailed in the sum of $1,000.00 to appear at the Sandy Pont Magistrate Court on 6th June 2006.
     
    Amos McIntosh alias "Springette of Newton Ground was charged with the offence of "Possession of Controlled Drugs" cannabis, committed on 4th June 2006. He was bailed in the sum of $6,000.00 to appear at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 12th June 2006. He was later bailed in the sum of $5,000.00 to appear at the Sandy Pont Magistrate Court on 6th June 2006. Kevin Davis of St. Pauls was charged with the offence of "Driving without insurance" committed on 3rd June 2006.
     
    The following persons were bailed between 2nd and 5th May 2006;
    Asim Adams of Herbert Alley, Newtown who was charged with "Possession with Intent to Supply" and "Possession of a Controlled Drug" (Cannabis), committed on 2nd June 2006, was bailed in the sum of $10,000.00 to appear at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 12th June 2006.
     
    Patrick "Rover" Hanley of Needmust who was charged with "Cultivation of a Controlled Drug", "Possession with Intent to Supply" and 'Possession of a Controlled Drug" (Cannabis) committed on 2nd June 2006, was bailed in the sum of $10,000.00 to appear at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 12th June 2006.
     
    At the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 2nd June 2006, Chavern "Chucky" Scott of Stapleton Village who was charged with "Possession with Intent to Supply" and "Possession of a Controlled Drug" (Cannabis) committed on 3rd June 2006 was convicted and cautioned on the first charge and sentenced to four (4) weeks imprisonment on the second charge.
     
    At the Sandy Point Magistrate Court on 2nd June 2006, Mandesia and Nerisia Marshum of the Alley Sandy Point who were charged with "Disorderly conduct by fighting", committed on 11th May 2006, were reprimanded and discharged. They were also ordered to pay compensation of $600.00 by 3rd July 2006 or serve seven (7) days imprisonment.
