BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - A troupe out of the Green Valley area was invited to Anguilla to participate in that island’s 2010 Carnival Parade of Troupes scheduled for today (Aug. 6) through the streets of The Valley.
The troupe ‘Do As You Like’, which was done by Patricia O’Loughlin of Cayon, travelled to Anguilla yesterday with a total of 35 persons.
O’Loughlin, popularly known as Pats, is a resident of Green Valley and is known to be one of the best seamstresses in that area, according to many members of the community.
She has been organising and making the costumes for her own parade troupe, which has won the best parade troupe for the past three consecutive years, as part of her contribution to the Green Valley Festival,.
They are scheduled to return on Monday, August 9. SKNVibes tried to contact O’Loughlin for a comment but was unsuccessful.
