    ~~Adz:Right~~Basseterre, St. Kitts (June 06, 2006): Six days into the celebration of Child Month, Early Childhood Coordinator Vanta Walters is calling for the Federation to remember to focus on children even in the midst of a multitude of activities planned around June.
    Mrs. Walters said that the chosen theme for Child Month 2006 "Unlock the Virtues in Me" calls for parents, guardians, educators and others who impact children's lives to take time out to recognize and acknowledge the special traits of children.
     
    She said additionally that the virtues within children would require the attention and molding of adults "children are expected to display good virtues. The early childhood coordinator highlighted the fact that children need to be coached and coaxed into right behaviours by observing adults around them.
     
    Activities for the week include the observance of tag day on Tuesday June 6 and Basseterre East Sports Day at the Cable and Wireless Grounds on Thursday 8, June.
     
    Other highlights for the month include Dancamasing (Dance, Drama, Music) at Carnival City on June 13, the Family Fun Day and Food Fair at Independence Square on June 23 and the grand parade on June 30.
