CHARLESTOWN, Nevis, August 20, 2010 (Press Release) - President of the Nevis Cricket Association Ronald Powell on Wednesday indicated that there has been a postponement in the prize giving ceremony for the female cricket league for 2010.
This is due to certain unforeseen circumstances one of which is the funeral service of the late Nevisian under 15 cricketer Delon Claxton who will be buried this coming Saturday. The Nevis Cricket Association and representative teams are expected to be fully involved in the funeral service.
Powell however indicated that he will be meeting with his executive and management team members on Monday 23rd August at the Elquemedo Willet Park and the closing ceremony will be finalized along with several other important matters that will be discussed.
Powell is asking all concerned to be present for a 4.30 start to the meeting and is urging all executive members and management team members to make a special effort to attend.
