BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - LADIES who may have had their eyes set on the recently crowned Leeward Islands Calypso Monarch, Konris Maynard, are in for a disappointment as he tied the knot at the Wesley Methodist Church on Saturday, August 21.
According to information reaching SKNVibes, the history-making (‘four-peat’) National Calypso King, who was engaged for some time, was recently heard in several interviews on the local airwaves giving hints of the big day.
His long-time sweetheart and Barrister-at-Law Shamara Morton of St. Pauls, who was the First Runner-up in the 2002-2003 National Queen pageant, is the lucky bride.
The ladies in the bridal party were beautifully bedecked in hot pink dresses while the bride wore a white straight dress with her hair in an up do.
After the ceremony, the stunning couple and their guests headed to the St. Kitts Marriott Resort for the reception.
When contacted by this publication, Maynard was tight-lipped about the event and indicated that he needed no publicity.
