BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, AUGUST 27TH 2010 (CUOPM) – More classrooms are to be constructed at the recently-opened Saddlers Secondary School.
The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis is inviting bids for the construction of 10 additional classrooms. The new classes will bring the total number to 20.
According to the Project Management Unit of the Ministry of Education, sealed bids are being invited from eligible local contractors.
It said that bidding documents (and additional copies) may be purchased at the Ministry of Education, Project Management Unit located on Lockhart Street in Basseterre, St. Kitts, for a nonrefundable fee of Two Hundred and Fifty Eastern Caribbean Dollars (EC$250.00), or its equivalent in a freely-convertible currency.
Bids shall be valid for a period of Ninety (90) days after Bid Opening and must be accompanied by a Security Deposit of Three Thousand Eastern Caribbean Dollars (EC$3,000.00) or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency, and shall be delivered to the above address on or before Thursday, 23rd September, 2010 at 2:00p.m. at which time all bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders who wish to attend.
