Basseterre, St. Kitts - As the island continues to experience the adverse weather conditions associated with Hurricane Earl, initial reports suggest that the LIME fixed network is holding up very well at this point. Additionally, customers who have electricity continue to enjoy that LIME’s Broadband Service.
Most of our mobile cell sites have withstood the battering of Hurricane Earl. We have however, received word from our technical staff that a few sites have been affected during the passage of the hurricane due to loss of commercial power and wind damage may have caused some antennas shift. The affected sites include Brimstone Hill and Challengers in St.Kitts and, Ramsbury and the racetrack in Nevis. Service has been restored to the St. Peters and some sectors of Taylors Range cell sites which were also affected.
