Police Press Release

    On 8th June 2006 at the Basseterre High Court, the case of the DPP vs. Crispin Prentice of Newtown and Sheldon Cannonier of Neverson Street East who were indicted on a charge of "Murder" committed on 27th June 2004 came to a conclusion. Prentice was found guilty of Murder and remanded to Her Majesty's Prison until 26th June 2006 pending a psychiatric and social report; however Cannonier was acquitted of the charge.

     

     
    ~~Adz:Left~~The following persons were arrested and charged on 8th June 2006;

     

    ·         Michael Hodge of Phillips Village was charged with the offence of "Indecent Assault" committed on 20th May 2006.

     

     

     

    ·         Sean Mitchell of Fort Thomas Road was charged with the offence of "Wounding" committed on 5th June 2006 at Fort Thomas Road.

     

     

     

     

     

    Madefro Roberts of New Road Housing, who was charged with the offences of "Threatening Language" and "Obstruction" committed on 7th June 2006, was bailed in the sum of $5,000.00 to appear at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 3rd July 2006.

The launch is to be held at the Foundation of National Development Conference Room, Bladen Commercial Development on Thursday 15th June 2006. The guest speaker will be the region's first woman Commissioner of Police, Delano Christopher of the Royal Antigua and Barbuda Police Force.
