Update from LIME ---31st August 2010 at 5:30pm …# 3

LIME Press Release

Basseterre, St. Kitts - Following the passage of Hurricane Earl, Lime is pleased to advise that for the most part our Broadband service is up and running.  Slight water damage to our equipment in St. Peter’s affected service in the area, but our technical team has advised that this has been fully rectified.

The island-wide assessment conducted by LIME’s personnel revealed a number of downed telephone cables which we are working to restore.  In West Basseterre, a few of our feeders were affected, which may impact service for customers in this area. No major damage was reported on our distribution network

Most of our mobile cell sites have withstood the high winds and rain of Hurricane Earl. However, customers in Brighton and Challengers may still experience some loss of service due to power issues and wind damage.    Our Technical team continues to work to restore the affected areas as quickly as possible.

    All other services remain operational.

LIME wishes to thank its valued customers for their patience and understanding during this time.
