Basseterre, St. Kitts (June 12, 2006): Government employees can expect their June salaries a little earlier this month to accommodate the public holiday on June 22 as well as facilitate their purchase of test cricket and music festival tickets.
Employees will be paid on Wednesday June 21.

~~Adz:Left~~As far as the St. Kitts Music Festival, the consideration for early payment is done on an annual basis but it was especially significant this year with the plethora of activities happening in the Federation among which are the One Day International Cricket match, Digicel Test match as well as community festivals and others.

Music Festival promotions chairperson Mr. Clement Juni Liburd said he was pleased at the aggressive interventions to ensure that persons can maximize their enjoyment of the activities. He added that nothing should put a damper on the celebration of the tenth anniversary of the St. Kitts Music Festival particularly ,not financial constraints.

The chairman said although government would not be able to stipulate early payment in the private sector that it would be beneficial and a good show of corporate partnership if the private sector would follow-suit.
