Charlestown, Nevis - Once again, the churches on the island of Nevis, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, will combine forces in executing the annual Back-to-School Rally under the theme “Building a culture of Peace.”
The Cicely Grell-Hull Netball Complex in Charlestown will come alive when over 1500 school children and parents take to the stadium on Wednesday 15th September, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. with a multi-faceted display of talents, song, choreography, drama and other activities - including giveaways.
A combined primary schools’ choir and an adult mass choir under the direction of Mrs Carmella Lawrence will also perform. Specially invited guest artistes will be on hand to share in music and personal experiences.
The featured speaker will be Minister Denis Baptiste of the Methodist churches. The Honourable Joseph Parry has endorsed the event and will motivate students to build a culture of peace. We are determined to live out the national song and make their schools and their land a place where peace abounds.
