The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the Frigate Bay area on Tuesday 13^th June 2006, where a thirty-three (33) year old Jeffery Murray was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. Five (5) persons are presently in police custody assisting with investigations into the incident.

The following persons were arrested and charged on 13^th June 2006;

·         Alden Richards of Lower Shaw Avenue was charged with the offences of "Possession with Intent to Supply" and "Possession of the Controlled Drug" cannabis, committed on 13^th June 2006.

·         Dave Richardson of Saddlers Village was charged with the offence of "Wounding with Intent", committed on 11^th June 2006 at Saddlers.

 
Darren Henry of Cayon Village who was charged with the offences "Battery on a Police officer", "Resisting arrest" and for being "armed with an offensive weapon" committed on 5^th June 2006 at Cayon, was bailed in the sum of $3,000.00 to appear at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 3^rd July 2006.

 
At the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 13^th June 2006, Errol Croft of Dorset Village who was charged with the offence of "Fraud" committed on 4^th March 2006 was bailed in the sum of $5,000.00 to appear at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 3^rd July 2006.

 
Shawn Mitchelle a native of Trinidad and Tobago, who has been residing in Basseterre, was charged with the offence of Wounding committed on 5^th June 2006. At the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 13^th June 2006, Mitchelle pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to six (6) months imprisonment with hard labour
