Basseterre, St. Kitts - Residents of St Kitts and Nevis will soon be able to access a new, effective and affordable health and wellness programme designed to help them achieve total body conditioning.
Having recognised the high and rapidly increasing incidents of diabetes, hypertension and obesity among the people of the Federation, the New Vision Fitness Club is offering a new approach to help reverse these undesirable trends and to help people achieve and maintain optimum health.
The New Vision Fitness Club was developed from the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank’s Entrepreneurship Course, which is being piloted in St Kitts and Nevis.
The Club’s health and wellness programme combines a variety of fun-filled fitness sessions with nutrition education and a supportive environment that will motivate members to achieve their fitness goals and adopt healthy lifestyles.
The programme targets all persons who are desirous of improving their overall health. However special emphasis will be placed on reaching persons who are at risk for or are living with living with non-communicable diseases particularly diabetes, hypertension and obesity.
The New Vision Fitness Club will launch its programme with a Healthy Choice Breakfast this Saturday 11 September beginning at 6:00 a.m. This will be held in the area between the FirstCaribbean International Bank and the Royal Bank of Canada in the Circus. In addition to the healthy breakfast, the Club will offer blood pressure and weight checks free of cost to patrons.
