BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – DANCEHALL artiste Bounty Killer appears to be definitely acting out his famous phrase “Cross, Angry, Miserable” as he was once again arrested for beating yet another woman.
According to reports by another media outlet a badly bruised female made a report on Saturday (September 18) that she was beaten by the singer while at his apartment.
It is reported that the woman did not intend to press charges and that it was her friends who brought the matter to the attention of the police.
The woman who was allegedly badly beaten is said to have received 19 stitches on one of her arms and reportedly said ‘Killer’ had beaten her with a hammer.
Bounty Killer whose real name is Rodney Pryce has had been in frequent conflicts with the law and presently has a number of matters pending before the court.
As recent as April last, Killer was arrested and charged and spent two weeks in jail for occasioning bodily harm on a female who claims she was his girlfriend and after she decided to end a three-year relationship, Bounty Killer became irate and physically attacked her.
The lawmen said consistent with standard police procedure all detainees are entitled to make one phone call and that Bounty Killer used the opportunity to call the complainant in their presence and made further threats on her life. He was denied station bail was scheduled to appear in Court the following day.
In another incident, the artiste who composed ‘Poor People Fed Up’ in 2009 was also arrested and charged for beating a pregnant woman but later had the charges dismissed after the 22-year-old woman failed to make an appearance before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate Court.
Bounty Killer is widely recognised for his contributions to dancehall music and has been one of the first major artistes out of Jamaica. He also heads the popular Alliance Camp.
