BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – KITTITIAN beauty, Trevicia Adams will represent the Federation this week-end in the Miss Global International Beauty Pageant to be held in Jamaica on Sunday (September 26) at Grand Palladium Resort & Spa Hotel.

The pageant is divided into four segments Swim Wear, Evening Wear, Interview and the Talent Segment which will be staged as a separate event on the night preceding the pageant.

Adams said the organizer of the pageant Lachu Ramchandani, contacted her about entering the pageant through Karissa Browne of Identity Modeling Agency, an agency with which Adams is associated after he saw some postings of her photos on the famous social network site, Facebook.

The 19-year-old said she feels great about the opportunity. “This is an area that I am interested in; so it feels good being chosen to represent my country and have my talent recognized by other people even though I have never entered the National Queen Pageant” she added.

Adams who is employed as an Administrative Assistant has entered three other pageants, Miss Talented Teen in which she captured the first runner up position, Miss Back To Roots in which she was crowned queen and in August of this year she placed second runner up in the Miss Culture Queen Pageant.

SKNVibes PEP has learnt that there will be over thirty contestants competing for the top position in the 2010 Miss Global International Beauty Pageant.

Adams left  the island earlier this morning, promising to perform to the best of her ability, hoping to make the country proud. She also took the opportunity to thank Miss Brand of Island Bakery in Nevis, The Culturama Committee and anyone who would have helped her in anyway.

She also told SKNVibes PEP that although she has no plans to enter the National Queen Pageant this year it is in her future plans.

This Pageant is said to be one of the biggest the Caribbean has ever hosted. The reigning queen, Azarea Clare, hails from The Bahamas.
