BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – JAHDELL Browne has been charged with the double murder of John Napier and Sylvester Harris which both occurred on Sunday, October 25, 2009, at Miliken Estate and also the wounding of Wilfred Simmonds.
Browne on indictment, appeared before the High Court yesterday, unrepresented by counsel and entered a plea of not guilty to the charge.
The crimes brought the number of murders in the Federation at the time they were allegedly committed to a record-high of 25. The victims were allegedly brutally chopped with a machete by Browne.
According to a report by SKNVibes about the murder, Police sources informed that Napier was attacked on the premises of his Cedar Grove house while Harris was assaulted within its nearby surroundings.
Police Inspector Cromwell Henry when he spoke to SKNVibes confirmed that Napier died at his home and that Harris was transported to the Joseph N. France Hospital, where he subsequently died.
The report also stated that according to the Inspector, members of the Police Force arrested the “mentally challenged” Browne and took him into custody about an hour after the deadly acts occurred.
