Charlestown, Nevis - Due to inclement weather, the Opening Show for the TDC- Carib Brewery – DIGICEL Nevis versus St. Kitts Karaoke Idol, scheduled to be held in Nevis on Saturday September 18th, was postponed.
With the Management Team being bombarded with telephone calls verifying whether or not the Show would be held, at about 5:00 pm, with the Venue fully prepared, the Committee had to make the decision to reschedule the Event. This was linked mainly to the fact that the six (6) Idols from St. Kitts were having difficulty coming over to Nevis for the Sing Off.
With the remnants of Hurricane Igor in the air, there was thunder, lightening, heavy rains, and rough seas which caused the ferries not to run. As a result, both the Nevis Performers and the St. Kitts contingent have been afforded one more week to prepare themselves for the BIG SHOWDOWN.
The new dates and venues for the Event are shown below:
Sept 25th St. Kitts Marriott Ballroom
Oct 2nd Nevis Cultural Complex
Oct 9th St. Kitts Fisherman’s Wharf
Oct 16th Nevis Cultural Complex
Oct 23rd St. Kitts Fisherman’s Wharf
The twelve (12) Performers for this Event are:
St. Kitts Nevis
Curdell Mills Levi James
Melissa Rawlins Alison Dore

Neville Joseph Ryhanna Wong
Kenesia Byron Jervan Swanston

Other Sponsors for the Event include Oaulie Beach Resort, Hidden Wines & Spirits, Green Heart Homes, Choice Fm 105.3, and Bank of Nevis. In speaking to the Media, Noah Mills, Managing Director for SEN Consulting, the Marketing Company hosting the Karaoke Idol, noted that “everything must be perfect for the Performers, Corporate Partners, Audience members, and other Stakeholders. As such, postponing the opening Show was logical decision.”
He went on to assure the Public that the Production’s high Quality and Entertainment Value would still be maintained. He also confirmed that the admission would remain at EC $10. All Shows start promptly at 8:00 pm.
