BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A former Constable of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is currently in custody assisting lawmen with investigations into a gun find, which occurred at his place of residence.
According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) with responsibility for Crime Joseph Liburd, police officers working in Nevis conducted an exercise early this morning (Oct. 1), during which they discovered two firearms and more than 70 rounds of ammunition on Errol Glasgow’s premises.
“At about 4:30 a.m. on today’s date, the police in Nevis executed a search warrant on premises occupied by Errol Glasgow of Brick Kiln and one .38 revolver and .22 pistol along with 75 assorted rounds of ammunition were found and taken into custody. Errol Glasgow, a former Police Constable, is in custody as investigations continue,” ACP Liburd said.
This find accounts for the 37th and 38th illegal firearms to be removed from the streets of the Federation and taken into police custody since the commencement of the year.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
