BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – SOME PERSON or persons managed to break into the Kactus Night Club on Tuesday (September 21) and made off with $120,000 worth of equipment.

According to Romeo Parris, proprietor of Kactus Entertainment he visited the venue on Tuesday morning and when he had secured the place and left, everything was intact; but upon returning sometime yesterday he discovered that the property had been breached.

Parris further told this media house that Chalice Sound, TNO Sound and Guinness Evolution all had their sound systems stored in various sections of the building in which was also stored  the equipment of the Kactus band the Konnection Band.

He said the thieves made off with amplifiers, mixers, compressors, equalizers and organs all of which belonged to the various DJs and their Sound.

Parris went on to say that he wants the public to know, that this is a serious offence which must be dealt with and he made an appeal to the public to alert the authorities if anyone attempts to offer for sale any of the stolen items.

“This is the first time that something like this has happened at the club and my mind is telling me that it was done by someone who has an interest in sound systems; because there were other stuff like computers and TV’s at the club which they did not take.”

He added that there are some persons who would know that the club is not under frequent surveillance by the management due to reasons he did not wish to disclose. Parris however is making a special appeal for the assistance of persons who might have information which could lead to the recovery of the stolen equipment.

“They are not spiting Kactus but they are spiting the DJ’s and the entertainment life of the country because without these equipments the DJs would not be able to provide entertainment” Parris stressed, while adding that the police were called and are investigating the matter.
