BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A rumour was circulating on Monday (Oct. 4) via Black Berry Messenger that Jamaican ‘Hold You’ singer Gyptian is dead.
According to a source in the entertainment industry, he contacted the singers’ manager who said Gyptian is alive and well.
He said the manager added that the rumour generated from a website which had a story headlined “Gyptian killed show”, which really meant he gave a great performance but some readers misunderstood its meaning.
Gyptian is best known for his hit single ‘Hold You’, which is his biggest hit to date and has been remixed several times with various artistes.
He rose to popularity in the music business back in 2005 with two hits - ‘Is There A Place’ and ‘Serious Times’. His latest song, titled ‘Just A Lil Loving’, was done with Kittitian songstress Rolhensha.
