BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A vehicle stolen last week from the compound of Bullseye Auto Rental was recovered by police from a cane field in the Needsmust area.
Information which reached SKNVibes suggests that last week Tuesday (Sept. 28) employees of the establishment had secured the Bird Rock premises at 5:00 p.m., but on their return the following day they were visited by members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force at approximately 8:30 a.m.
The officers, according to reports, informed them that one of their vehicles, a white Acura with registration number R63, was stolen from the premises. The employees reportedly made a check and confirmed that it was indeed stolen.
The police located the vehicle several meters within a cane field in the vicinity of Needs Must at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 29. Two employees reportedly accompanied the police to the area where the vehicle was sighted and, after positive identification, it was realised that the back bumper was missing and also a radio set was removed from the inside of the automobile.
The vehicle was towed to Basseterre and is currently under protection at the Basseterre Police Station parking lot, as the lawmen are conducting invetigations into the theft.
