St Kitts-Nevis Senior National Team Travels to Grenada

SKNFA Press Release

Basseterre, St. Kitts - The National Senior Team is once again on the quest in the Second Stage of the Digicel Caribbean Cup. The team will be travelling to Grenada on October 20 to compete in the Group E stage of the tournament.

Since winning the first round of the tournament in St. Vincent the team has been back in St Kitts training daily for the trip to Grenada.  Coach Percival stated that “the team has been practicing since we came back as we only had about 10 days to prepare. We have been focusing on goal scoring as this was one of our challenges in the first round.”

The coaching staff invited some of the players who did not travel with the team to practice which is an indication of the coaching and technical staff to always challenge the players to be at their best.

“We wanted to ensure that each of the players know that they are not automatically on the team.  There is a lot of talent here in St Kitts and anyone, once the effort is there can and should make the team,” said coach Percival.

“Some changes have been made to the team that will travel to Grenada. We have brought in Stephen Clarke, who will replace Keith “Kayamba Gumbs, Sashi Isaac for Earl Jones , Alexis Richards for Akil Benjamin and Errol O’Loughlin will replace Devaughn Elliot,”  explained coach Percival

St. Kitts-Nevis is scheduled to play Guadeloupe on October 22 at 2pm, Grenada on October 24 at 4pm, and Puerto Rico on October 26 at 2 pm. These matches will be broadcast live on ZIZ Radio.
