BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – TWO men from Sandy Point were recently charged for possession of cannabis, possession of cannabis with intent to supply and cultivation.
Information reaching SKNVibes states that between 3:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 16), members of the Drug Squad executed search warrants on the premises of Everton Richards of Fahie Street in Sandy Point, Kishmo ‘Mac 10’ Clarke of Pedro Street also in Sandy Point, and Shawn ‘Shaba’ David of Prickley Pear Alley in Basseterre.
While at Clarke’s home, the officers discovered 17 pounds of compressed cannabis sativa (marijuana) in a washing machine and in various other parts of his premises, as well as a number of sealed zip loc bags.
The search on Richards’ premises resulted in the find of 86 cannabis sativa plants, ranging from seedlings to four feet in height, and five pounds of cured cannabis sativa.
Both men were arrested and charged for possession of cannabis and possession with intent to supply. Richards was however given an additional charge of cultivation.
This media house learnt that nothing was found on David’s premises but on an abandoned premises within proximity of his home, officers discovered 30 cannabis sativa plants approximately six feet in height.
No one was held in connection with the find, and all the plants were uprooted and taken into police custody as was done with those found in Sandy Point.
