    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts –SIX Jamaican artistes have each landed themselves a nomination in the Soul Train Awards in the Best Reggae Artiste category. The 2010 Award show will take place at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta on November 28.

     

    Vybz Kartel, Damian Marley, Jah Cure, Gyptian, Mr. Vegas and Gramps Morgan are the six artistes who will be in the run for the award.

     

    The Soul Train Awards made a comeback in 2009 after being on hiatus for a couple of years and is now hosting it’s second show since then; with hosts Oscar-nominated actors Terrence Howard and Taraji Henson.

     

    According to the Soul Train website, Ne-Yo, Erykah Badu, Rick Ross, Keyshia Cole, Cee-Lo, and many others would take the stage to deliver electrifying performances.

     

    In other nominees Alicia Keys and Usher leads the pack with four nominations each.

     

    Vybz Kartel has also been nominated for the 2010 MOBO Award in the UK along with Best Reggae Artist.
