Basseterre, St. Kitts - The D.A.R.E CLUB is a new initiative formulated by the Miss Teen Diva Pageant Committee to serve as a support system for young females ages 8 to 19 in the community.
The organizers of the D.A.R.E. Club hope to empower young ladies to achieve their goals and also to be positive role models for others. D.A.R.E. stands for Dream Achieve Relate Empower. The reigning Miss Teen Diva, Rashada Robinson, will be a part of this exciting new club as this will be her community service project.
Members of the club will participate in activities that stimulate their minds, bodies and souls. The planned activities include group discussions, field trips, general knowledge challenges, church visits, camping events, debates, gaming events, fundraising activities, social events, sporting events and more.
The club is a non-profit organization that will meet every first and third Saturday of each month from 4:00-6:00 pm at the East End Long Look Community Centre. Young ladies and their parents are invited to come to the first informative meeting on Saturday, November 6th from 4:00-6:00 pm.
