    Charlestown, Nevis - The annual Primary Schools’ Football league on Nevis is set to commence this coming Friday-5th November.

     

    The league as per usual will be sponsored by Giant Malt and this time around company representative, Noah Mills is expected to give brief remarks.

     

    Sports Coordinator in the Ministry of Education, Mrs. Lydia Thompson –Claxton has indicated that the league will be played at the Bath Village Playing field due to the unavailability of the ETW Park at this time.

     

    She further indicated that all of the Primary schools on the island have indicated that they will be participating viz Elizabeth Pemberton; VOJN; St.Thomas’; Joycelyn Liburd; St.James’; Maude Cross Prep; Ivor Walters; Belle Vue Int and current champions, Charlestown Primary.

     

    The league will commence with a  brief opening ceremony at 1 pm on Friday, at the Bath Village playing field.  It has not yet been determined if any of the league matches will be played on that day but a full schedule of matches will be released shortly.

     

    Mrs. Thompson-Claxton is urging all parents and the general public to come out and support the children as they develop life impacting skills and decorum, during the league.
