BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, NOVEMBER 4TH 2010 (CUOPM) – British Virgin Islands High Court Judge, Her Ladyship Indra Hariprashard-Charles will rule Thursday in the election petition filed by St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party Parliamentarian, the Hon. Glenn Phillip to strike out the challenge to the January 25th 2010 results by defeated candidate Mr. Lindsay Grant.

Lawyers representing Mr. Phillip during the trial in July contend that the pleadings in the petition by Mr. Grant “are incurably bad and totally uncorrectable at this stage.”

Dr. Henry Browne, who represented the Constituency Four Parliamentary Representative at the end of the trial contended that the charges in the petition alleging corruption, bribery and treating are sound in criminal law and could not be made out at all because “several accusations are of limited scope and each lack specificity to the extent that the allegations are so vague against my client.”
