Kingston, Jamaica - Veteran reggae artiste Tony Rebel will headline this week’s One Love Reggae Concert on Tuesday, November 9th at the Negril Escape Resort in Negril. This will be his first appearance in the tourist resort town for some time now and his many fans in the west will be expecting a very exciting performance from him.
Tony Rebel along with Garnett Silk and several other Rastafarian reggae and dancehall artistes brought about cultural renaissance in the local music industry in the in the 1990s.
With a vast catalogue of hits which includes gems such as Jah By My Side, Sweet Jam Down, Fresh Vegetable and Just Friends, he has become one of Jamaica’s leading cultural ambassadors.
The One Love Reggae Concert winter series which is in its second staging got off to a fine start last Tuesday, with a stellar performance from popular reggae artiste Jah Cure.
