Charlestown, Nevis - Two resounding applause, members of the Gingerland Secondary School and Charlestown Secondary School Cricket teams, received awards for outstanding performance in the recently in the Giant malt sponsored inter high schools’ championships held earlier in the year.
The brief but impressive ceremony was held at the Gingerland Secondary School’s auditorium on Friday 5th November 2010.
The ceremony was chaired by Carl Tuckett former West Indies player and Sports coordinator in the Minsitry of Sports, in the absence of Vernon Springer, who was unable to make it.
The MVPS from the various matches received trophies and the Charlestown Secondary School team received a trophy for placing second in the competition.
Headmistress of the Gingerland Secondary School lauded the organizers and the players and naturally wished that her school would win next time around.
