    Bridgetown, Barbados – Sri Lanka beat West Indies by 19 runs to win the second World Masters Tournament T20 Tournament on Tuesday night at Kensington Oval. Sri Lanka made 175-8 off their 20 overs and the Windies replied with 156-8 in the final which was watched by a crowd of over 10 000.

     

    Russel Arnold, who led the way for Sri Lanka with 58 off 38 balls with four boundaries and a six, was named Man-of-the-match, as well as Man-of-the-series. He received excellent support from Marven Attapattu (34) while the legendary Courtney Walsh was the best bowler with 3-36. When the home team batted left-hander Floyd Reifer top scored with 54, which took 45 balls and included five fours.

     

    Vasbert Drakes ended on 28 not out while Eric Upashanta picked up 2-29. The World Masters Tournament was staged by the Cricket Legends Of Barbados Inc. (CLOBI). The event featured players over the age of 35 and included West Indies, Sri Lanka, England and India.
