(Basseterre, St. Kitts) On Friday, June, 30 2006 parents and guardians came out to support their children in the Child Month March.
The theme for this year's march was "Unlock the Virtues in me" Love, Courage, Respect, Honesty, Trust and Tolerance were all leading up to this theme.
The march started at Burden Street and made it's way through the streets of Basseterre ending at Independence Square.
Both Church and School bands provided the march with music, which the children and parents enjoyed by dancing, singing and waving.
Various schools were displaying costumes, while others were neatly dressed in their child month t-shirt.
The schools that participated in the march were Basseterre West Zone, Mc Knight Day Car Centre, Pilgrim Pre-School, Goodwill Pre-School, Lily of the Valley Pre-School and Wings of Love.
Kozy Kidz Day Care, Clayanna's Learning Centre, Ray of Hope Pre-School, Future World Nursery, Martins Pre-School, Slack's Pre-School and Industrial Site Day Care were also in the march.
Also the Victoria Road Pre-School, Seventh Day Adventist Primary, Kuddles Nursery, East Basseterre Zone, Royal Palm Day Care, Salvation Army Pre-School, Rural West Zone, Newton Ground Day Care.
Also Half Way Tree Pre-School, Old Road Government Day Care, Care Bears Pre-School, Rural East Zone and Louisa Grant Pre-School.
The Kiddies Kollege Pre-School, Hugh King Memorial Pre-School, Love Centre Pre-School, Mount Carmel Baptist, The Harvest Pre-School, Rosa Nursery, Vera's Day Care and Saddlers Nursery all rounded up number of schools that participated in this march.
