KINGSTON, Jamaica – TOP dancehall artistes Vybz Kartel and Mavado have been given until 3:00 p.m. yesterday (Nov. 11) to report to the Constant Spring Police Station.
The two are said to be listed as persons of interest by the St. Andrew North Police.
According to 876radio, a statement issued on Tuesday night by the Jamaica Constabulary Force said investigators want to interview Vybz Kartel and Mavado in connection with a number of recent incidents in the Division.
SKNVibes PEP contacted the Constant Spring Police Station to find out more on the matter, but was instructed to call another number to which several unsuccessful attempts were made.
Other reports by another media house indicate that Vybz Kartel, accompanied by his lawyer, had turned himself into the station earlier this morning. However, it is still uncertain whether or not Mavado had done the same.
Vybz Kartel is head of the Portmore Empire and Mavado is a member of the Alliance Crew which is headed by Bounty Killer, Kartel’s archenemy.
Only four days ago it was rumoured that Vybz Kartel had been shot dead.
