BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE Shadorama Festival is here again and the official opening ceremony will be held tomorrow (Nov. 13) at Shadwell Community Festival City.
The festival began in 2009 and this year it will be held under the theme ‘Fete and Spree in Unity helping to develop a crime free Community’.
SKNVibes was told that the opening ceremony would be brief followed by musical entertainment provided by DJ Wet Dutt and Kollision Band.
Among the scheduled activities for this year’s festival are a church service on Sunday, visits to shut-ins and distribution of food hampers to various persons in the community on the following day.
The Shadorama Festival City will come alive again with movie night on Tuesday and will be followed by a community clean-up campaign on Wednesday.
A Fun Day will be held on Friday (Nov. 19) with musical entertainment once again by DJ Wett Dutt. The festival will continue on the following day with the J’Ouvert Morning jump up session and later in the evening, five contestants will vie for the Miss Shadorama Queen Pageant title to bring the curtains down on the Second Annual Shadorama Festival.
The reigning Shadorama Queen is Amanny Greene.
