Cayon Primary awards academic achievers

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - A number of pupils from Cayon Primary School were awarded for their academic achievements and other notable performances throughout the current school year. 

     

    The Prize Giving Ceremony took place yesterday (Nov. 11) from 5:00 p.m. at the school grounds under the theme ‘Aspire to go Higher’. 

     

    Awards were presented to children from Kindergarten to Grade Five in categories of first, second and third places as we as for the Most Improved Student and the Most Helpful Student.

     

    Kindergarten (Ms. Lewis Class)

    Forty-two pupils made the Honor Roll; 10 from Kindergarten, 13 from Grade One, eight from Grade Two, four from Grade Three, six from Grade Four and one from Grade Five.

     

    Nineteen pupils from Grades One to Three made the Principal’s List. They are Alexcia Walwyn, Kimyra Henry, Jasonna Williams, Avanaya Richards, Tyrone Southwell, Kerisha James, Jenee Joseph, Divonte Liburd, Kareem Storrod, Jelani Griffin, Ludelcia Harvey, Shaniqua Jeffers, Juanee Pemberton, Xaviel Peets, Koryn Jeffers, Elvicia Otto, Elrisha Steward, Rochelle Hamilton and Carl Caines.

     

    The ceremony was spiced with dance and song renditions from a number of students and Pastor Benjamin Browne was the guest speaker.
