St. Johnson’s resident escapes masked gunman’s wrath

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE are investigating an incident in which a number of shots were fired at a man in St. Johnson Village this morning (Nov. 13) while on his way home from work.

     

    Reports reaching this media house indicate that the shots were fired at the young man sometime after 3:00 a.m. shortly after he had exited a vehicle and was walking along Hospital Road in St. Johnson Village.

     

    The reports also indicate that he escaped unscathed from the more than 10 shots that a masked gunman fired at him.

     

    According to Police Press and Public Relations Officer Inspector Vaughan Henderson, “At about 3:30 this morning members of the Criminal Investigation Department responded to a report that shots were fired at a young man in St. Johnson Village. Investigations revealed that a number of shots were fired at a him while he was walking home from work in the street west of the Police Station in St. Johnson Village.

     

    “The young man told the investigating officers that he saw a masked man fired the shots at him but he managed to escape unharmed.”

     

    Inspector Henderson informed SKNVibes that members of the Crime Scene Department also responded, and during their investigations a number of items of evidential value were taken into custody for further analysis.

     

    He said no suspect is in custody but investigations are ongoing.
