One remanded; accomplice in police custody
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – TWO male residents of Newtown were charged with building breaking and larceny, and one of them has since been remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison pending trial.
Reports reaching SKNVibes state that during the wee hours of Friday (Nov. 12), Curtis ‘Cracky’ Isaac and Akeem ‘Lil Man’ Christopher, both of Pitcairn Street, Newtown, were caught inside the Basseterre Fisheries Complex with a number of stolen items and cash.
According to Assistant Commissioner of Police with responsibility for Crime Joseph Liburd, “Early in the morning of Friday, November 12, 2010, Isaac and Christopher were caught red-handed inside the Basseterre Fisheries Complex with a number of stolen items. They were arrested and taken to the Basseterre Police Station, where investigations led to the police being able to solve four to five different break-ins.”
Additional information reaching this media house indicates that between yesterday (Nov. 14) and today, Christopher was charged with two counts of building breaking and larceny and Isaac with three counts of the same offences.
Information also states that Isaac had appeared this afternoon at the Basseterre Magistrate’s Court and was remanded to prison. At press time, this media house was however unable to confirm if his accomplice was also remanded, but an informed source claimed that he is still in police custody.
