St.Thomas’ Primary brings joys to fans

Ivor Walters’ team gets clear instructions from Coach Kimbell Ward

    Charlestown, Nevis - One spectator remarked: “I did not know that is so much people does come over here!” The remark was made yesterday as the Giant Malt sponsored Primary School Football league continued at the Bath Village Playing field.

     

    The St.Thomas’ Primary School had a particularly strong cheer leading contingent, led by Teacher Liburd, Stedmond Tross and a host of children.  Every goal scored was cheered with vociferous intent.

     

    In the first match, St.Thomas’ defeated Ivor Walters in an A division fixture four goals to nil.  The goal scorers for the St.Thomas’ team were: Tahije Smithen 2 goals; Hasani Phillip 1 and MVP Romario Daniel 1.

     

    The MVP for the Ivor Walters was Jermaine Bowrin.

     

    In the other A division fixture, Joycelyn Liburd Primary and Charlestown Primary locked horns in a nail biting draw which resulted in a score line of 3 goals –all.

     

    The goal scorers for JLP were: Tajari Arthurton; Leshon Freeman and MVP Javani Somersall.

     

    For the CPS team, the scorers were: Zaykeese Smith 2 and MVP Anthony Valdespin 1.
    St.Thomas’ again had their fan base jumping when they again beat the Ivor Walters Primary in a B division fixture this time around.

     

    The final score line: 3 goals to 1 in favour of the St.Thomas’ team.  The goal scorers for St.Thomas’ were: MVP Chevaughn Jeffers 2 and Devin France 1.

     

    For Ivor Walters, MVP Javel Boyles netted the lone goal.

     

    Matches continue at the same venue today at 1 pm.
