CaribWorldNews,LONDON,England,Fri.Nov.19,2010:Two nephews of late soca legend, Arrow, are set to remember the maestro at a U.K. tribute concert next month.
The concert to celebrate the Soca King's legacy is set for December 4th, 2010 at 3 Richmond Road, Dalston E8 3HY. Proceeds from the show will be given to the Montserrat Glendon Hospital, which was selected as the recipient by Arrow's Estate.
Arrow, born Alphonsus Cassell, passed away on September 15th at his home in Montserrat at the age of 60 after battling cerebral cancer. He was famous for the international hit, 'Hot, Hot, Hot'.
Dwayne and Sean Cassell are the two organizers of the event and and were given permission by Arrow's Estate to create the concert.
Scheduled performances are by special guest artists and groups from the Emerald Isle like the former calypso king “Kenzie”,
International Soca artist “Scrappy,” the Alliouagana Community Singers, Steel Pan Man “Maka Juda”, a masquerade group and others.
The event will be hosted by MNI Alive”s founder Jeevan Robinson and cost to attend is 10 pounds.
