BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, 22 November 2010 - Waking up in 2011 with the knowledge that you can live free for 365 days may be the best news that one can get. The reality is that LIME’s lifestyle remix for Christmas will do exactly that.
Making the announcement from the chicly decorated Mobile store, LIME’s General Manager, David Lake, delightfully announced the news which was carried live via Freedom FM. “Imagine being able to live free… free of worries about mortgage or rent payment, or buying groceries or telephone expenses for one full year,” he teased. “Well this is more than imagination, because I am here by declaring that this would be the reality of a lucky LIME customer, for this Christmas.”
The General Manager was speaking at the launch of LIME’s Christmas pon de Remix a week ago, where he also revealed the other prizes in the six-week promotion. Included in the runner up prizes are a family vacation for four and a home entertainment package. A number of weekly prizes to be drawn over the next six weeks would maintain momentum until the main draw. During this time customers will be treated to home and personal makeovers, car makeovers and gas vouchers among other attractive prizes.
Monday’s launch also featured a number of random treats. Customers conducting their normal business were allowed to pop and win the prizes in a number of balloons that floated from the ceiling. Dozens of customers won umbrellas, phone cards and cooler bags when Freedom Radio’s DJ Sugar Bowl, popped the balloons live on air to reveal the item.
As word spread of the live in store buzz, there was a constant flow of customers trying to get a taste of the pre-Christmas fun. In the final hour of the launch the tastiest Christmas treats of cakes and puddings were served to customers.
With one last promise left to be fulfilled customers gathered in anticipation for the draw of a Blackberry 8520. For this, the first customer to correctly answer the three ways to enter the Christmas promotion was presented with the phone. After three attempts, the fourth customer correctly listed the entry options. “I have to thank LIME for my belated birthday gift,” said the overjoyed customer, who had celebrated just days ago. The Blackberry 8520 was presented to the lucky customer by LIME’s Corporate Communications Manager, Laverne Caines.
