Cane Juice prepares for Traffic Lights Fete Part 2

By: Cherisse M. Sutton-Jeffers, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – Major plans are on the front burner for the Sugar Mas Carnival festivities as  Part Two of the Cane Juice Taffic Lights  Fete will be held at Fusion Night Club on December 25.

This year’s fete will be dubbed ‘Flavour Fetish’ and patrons are being asked to dress in the colour that represents their flavor. The colours are: red – hot and spicy; yellow – sweet like cane juice; green – mild and tasty; and white – it is a mystery, taste at your own risk.

“As part of the hype and excitement in the atmosphere surrounding this year, Sugar Mas Carnival and Cane Juice is doing its part by hosting yet another extra-ordinary party/fete. This is in fact the third consecutive year we've been doing an event in December,” said Raphael Rodney, Cane Juice’s CEO.

Rodney said there would be lots of prizes and giveaways, along with complimentary shots of alcohol beverages, given upon entrance to titillate the patrons. He also said that the venue would be decorated to suit the brand and theme and would feature ambient lighting.

“When you break traffic laws you get a ticket. So we are planning on giving away something special, but we'll waive your fee and literally give you a chance. We want folks to come out in their colours. We know ladies are popular for saying, ‘I can’t find anything to wear.’ You can still come…wear what you have. After such a hard year it’s only fair you celebrate,” the young entrepreneur said.

The event will feature a fusion of entertainment, including modelling of Cane Juice new designs and swimwear by Petal Designs from Nevis, along with live performances by some of St. Kitts’ top talents.

After the performances, nine DJ’s will rock the venue for nine hours with non-stop music, ranging from Soca, R&B, Hip-Hop, Dancehall and Reggae. Rodney emphasised that the nine DJ's would bring together St. Kitts’ best, along with two overseas DJ’s.

Rodney said, “Last year’s Taffic Lights Affair was awesome! People actually obeyed the theme. Lots of patrons came out and had a blast, and it was a rewarding feeling. We promote and encourage safe upscale type events, as we bring people together from all classes in a nice festive environment, keeping in line with the overall carnival vibe and experience.” |

He declared that this year’s event “is going to be bigger, better and will be the ultimate pre-J’Ouvert fete, giving patrons an exclusive party experience before the J’Ouvert morning madness”.
