Headteacher Mitchum and the Staff of the Joshua Obadiah Primary School in Molineux partnered with Dare 2 Be Different Int’l to host its first ever I CAN DO IT RALLY on Wednesday 25th November, 2010 for the students of the school.
The Theme for the Rally was Shaping the Future of our Children, Community, Home and School and addressed issues such as Anger Management, Anti-Violence and Conflict Resolution.
Children dressed to portray the profession in which they wanted to work in the future. Dare 2 Be Different Int’l President Khrystus Wallace, organizer of the event said that this aspect of the rally helped to boost self esteem and morale among the students as they aim high and think about their future. Highlights of the evening included dramas, dance, poetry, motivational speeches and special songs from Minister LK.
Head teacher Mitchum, in giving her closing remarks at the event thanks the many students, parents and community members who attended and reiterated the importance of working NOW, to shape the future of tomorrow’s youth.
