BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, NOVEMBER 24TH 2010 (CUOPM) – Two Celebrity Cruise Line ships brought 5,079 passengers to St. Kitts on Wednesday bringing the total number of cruise passengers visiting St. Kitts for this week to date to 8,590. An estimated 17,306 cruise passengers are expected to visit St. Kitts this week from a total of nine cruise ships.
The 2,085-passenger Celebrity Eclipse on its maiden Caribbean cruise arrived from St. Maarten with 3,069 passengers and crew. The 2,038 passenger Celebrity Millennium arrived from St. Croix with 2010 passengers and a crew of 927. The Eclipse sailed for Miami, Florida while the Millennium went to Dominica.
On Sunday, the 3,597-passenger Azura of P&O Cruises docked from St. Maarten with 3,085 passengers and 1,183 crew members and later left for St. Lucia.
On Wednesday, the 450-passenger Seabourn Sojourn arrived from San Juan, Puerto Rico, with 426 passengers and a crew of 338 before departing for nearby St. Barths.
Two cruise ships, the 2,224 –capacity Norwegian Dawn and the 170-passenger Star Clipper are scheduled to visit on Thursday.
Three ships, the 3,050 –capacity Carnival Victory, the Fred Olsen Cruises 539-passenger Black Watch and the 2,388-passenger Arcadia of P&O Cruises are scheduled to visit on Friday.
