By: Suelika N. Creque, SKNVibes.com

CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – A five-year-old school girl tragically lost her life sometime after 4:00 p.m. yesterday (Nov. 24) following a traffic accident at Chicken Stone in Nevis.

SKNVibes spoke to Inspector Andre Mitchell of the Nevis Division, who said that the girl, Tayvia Daniel of Hardtimes Village, Gingerland, was struck by a Nissan Murana (P7692) owned by Colin Archibald of Craddock Road but was at the time driven by Alton Browne of Rawlins Village.

Mitchell said it appeared that the vehicle was travelling from Gingerland to Charlestown when the accident occurred. He noted that the child was dressed in her Gingerland Primary School uniform at the time of the accident, and was pronounced dead on the scene by the District \Medical Officer, Dr. Chandy Jacobs.

Inspector Mitchell also noted that investigations into the fatal accident are ongoing.
