After a delayed start, the first match in the best of three finals in the local Netball Business league was played at the Grell –Hull/ Stevens Netball Complex.
First Caribbean came up against Four Seasons Resort Estates. First Caribbean actually started the match with a player short, due to other activities that same evening.
The first quarter was very competitive as the two teams went to the break with the score evenly matched at Five to four in favour of the Four Seasons Estates team.
In the second quarter however, the First Caribbean team was obviously struggling to make critical deposits.
Matters became more complex when Nickie Nisbett apparently suffered from an old injury and was not very mobile after that.
At the final whistle, the score line was twenty to fourteen in favour of the Four Seasons Resort Estates.
The next game will be played this coming Saturday evening –27th November and if the Four Seasons Estates wins this one, there will be no need for a third game the following evening. However, the First Caribbean team played without the services of two key players from St.Kitts who will be available on Saturday night. They are confident that there will be a game three on Sunday night.
