On a steady musical high, from his highly impressive and exciting debut in the Calypso arena, Reggae artist, Masud Sadiki, now known to the calypso world as Stitch In Time launches his second competition song today on all local radio stations. The title of this new track is “I Am Sugar Mas”.
The idea for “I Am Sugar Mas” came to Stitch In Time, after he heard a number comments about his decision to compete in the Calypso Monarch Competition. “After hearing my first song, some persons started saying that I am not Calypso enough to stand a chance in the competition. One lady also told me that her girlfriend told her that I would not even make it out of the tent. Hahaha. I found that comment to be very humorous. I had a big laugh when I heard it.” said Stitch In Time.
Stitch In Time said that he had a few topics to sing about, but he decided to respond to some of the comments and stir up a little bacchanal for Carnival. This new song captures the energy and spirit of St Kitts music in the 1970’s and early 80’s. He said that he wanted to help to inject some old time sweetness in Carnival and give the more mature people an extra reason to participate in the festivities this year. “I Am Sugar Mas” was produced, arranged, recorded and mixed by Jazzique Chiverton of Ball-A-Karn Productions. The words were written by Kevin Donovan and Jazzique.

Stitch In Time said, though he has his eyes set on the crown, he is here to learn, have as much fun as possible, and to make a meaningful contribution to Carnival.
