Charlestown Nevis (July 6, 2006) The CARICOM Heads of Government held a caucus at the prestigious Four Seasons Resort in Nevis on Wednesday July 5 as part of their 27th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) which concludes in St. Kitts later today.
Nevis Premier, the Hon Mr. Vance Amory was on hand at the Four Seasons pier to welcome the heads of government to the island.
The delegation was headed by Chairman and Prime Minister of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, the Hon Dr. Denzil Douglas.
CARICOM Heads who attended the caucus came from Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Monsterrat, St. Lucia, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago.
Speaking to the Government Information Services, Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, the Hon Mr. Patrick Manning expressed that he was very happy to he on the island of Nevis.
He also said that he visited Nevis some 13 years ago and that the island was one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean.

"We are at a significant juncture in Caribbean integration where we have the CSM now coming fully in force and we are taking steps beginning with this meeting to ensure that the CSME is in force, certainly the frame work is in place by 2008," commented Mr. Manning.
The delegation left Nevis for St. Kitts later Wednesday afternoon via the privately owned ferry M V Carib Surf.
