Ashaun Walwyn, Kadeema Blanchette win Tucker Clark Primary Mr. and Ms. Virtues

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – ASHAUN WALWYN and Kadeema Blanchette were declared winners of the first ever Mr. and Miss Virtues held on (Nov. 25) at the school grounds.

     

    Fifth grader Blanchette, who represented the virtue of Peacefulness, walked away with the Best Introductory Speech, Best Talent and Sunday Best, while Walwyn, a fourth grader, who represented the virtue of Respect, won the Best Creative Wear.

     

    In First Runner-up position were Britney Boncamper who represented the virtue of Honesty and Gabriel Martinez who represented the virtue of Unity.

     

    Boncamper also won the Best Creative Wear segment while Martinez took the awards for Best Talent, Best Introductory Speech and Sunday Best.

     

    Celina Bergna and Jomitri Queeley, who both represented the virtues of Patience, took the Second Runner-up position.

     

    The show was well-supported by parents and students, who vociferously cheered for their favorite contestants.

     

    In a previous interview, one of the organisers, Sherema Collins, said that the show was a part of the school’s action plan.

     

    Serene Weekes of Newtown, who chaperoned Ashaun Walwyn, said extended special thanks to his sponsor Pharmcare.

     

    She said he also extended gratitude to his mother Asha Wharton, Keisha Riley, Juni Gumbs and Miss Lawrence for their support, and God for giving him the ability and strength to compete.

     

    Kadeema Blanchette extended gratitude to Heidi Slack, her sponsor Royal Logistics, Melicia Blanchette, her mother Lydia Blanchette, Karen Matthew and her sister Xarielle Blanchet who designer her Creative Wear.
