BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A male proprietor was robbed of a small sum of money on Saturday night (Nov. 27) following an attack by two armed, masked men while in his Sandy Point bar.
According to Police Press and Public Relations Officer Inspector Vaughan Henderson, “At approximately 10:30 p.m., police at the Sandy Point Police Station received a report of a robbery at Bigz Bar in Mount Idle, Sandy Point.
“Police from the Sandy Point Police Station and the St. Paul’s Police Station responded immediately and their enquireies revealed that Alexander Warner, proprietor of Bigz Bar, was attacked by two masked assailants armed with a gun each and robbed of a small sum of money.”
Henderson also stated that Warner was not injured during the robbery and no suspect was in custody at the time, but police are pursuing a number of leads as investigations are ongoing.
