BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – AS members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force continue their relentless fight against crime and violence, detectives of the Basseterre Police Station on Monday (Nov. 29) arrested and charged a 38-year-old man for larceny.

Police Press and Public relations Officer (PRO) Inspector Vaughan Henderson, in a release, said that the man, Terrance ‘Donkey’ Casey of Salt Pond Alley was formally arrested and charged on a warrant in the first instance for larceny committed at Fort Thomas Road on September 28, 2010.

“Police are regarding the arrest Casey of Salt Pond Alley as significant. According to the detectives, Casey has long been on a list of persons suspected for larceny and other offences involving stealing and they are satisfied that they were now able to gather the evidence to secure his arrest”, Henderson said.

The PRO noted that the detectives had indicated that they would be objecting to bail, and if the magistrate finds favour with their objections Casey would be remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison until his trial.

He also noted that investigations into this matter are still ongoing.
